For Ashley’s 26th birthday we took a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.  It was the last day of the year that the camp ground would be open and it was cold and vacant.  We rose earlier than the sun so that we could take pictures of the sunrise from a lookout point on the rim.  We were tired and waiting for the sun when Ashley’s old and unreliable, camera, stopped working.  For a moment we both thought that the next time someone would see that camera would be at the bottom of the canyon.  On our drive home from the Grand Canyon we ordered her first DSLR Canon Rebel and she has been reliably taking beautiful pictures of our lives ever since.
